Mean (i.e. average)

The mean is a measure of central tendency.
Observe that the mean:
- Does not have to be equal to one of its data points.
- Does not have to be an integer (even if all the data points are integers).
- Is somewhere between the min and max, but not necessarily halfway between.
- Has the same units as the data.
